Sports Betting in the NBA: New Deal with International Lottery Partner
When looking at sports betting, it is best to look at it in a long-term and with a wider reach. Limiting oneself to a very local range is fine. But notice that the best sports betting software in the industry operates on an international level. Once you remove the borders, your potential to profit more increases. Such is the case with the NBA, as they are expanding with a partnership with the Francaise Des Jeux (FDJ). The FDJ is the operator of the national lottery of France.
The partnership is, again, another first the American sports league is making with a European partner. Under the deal, the FDJ will have access to official NBA data, and also use intellectual property of the NBA in their products. This covers land-based as well as online/digital sports betting products through the ParionsSport brand of the FDJ.
Sports Betting in the NBA and Their Collaborations
Vandana Balachandar, Vice President for Global Partnerships for NBA Europe and the Middle East said: “This collaboration will result in the best possible gaming and entertainment experience for consumers through the use of accurate, official, real-time NBA data, and demonstrates our collective efforts to maintain the integrity of our games.”
The NBA is one of the most prestigious basketball leagues in the world. Basketball is also the third most popular sport in sports betting, according to ParionsSport. France also has the most representation by country in Europe, in terms of basketball talent. There are currently 9 French players in the league.
This is just the latest in gambling industry news on the NBA and its growing list of partnerships with different sports betting operators. These partnerships will help increase revenue for operators and for the sports leagues themselves, by way of increased audience ratings, ticket sales, advertising, and sponsorships, among others.
